In the collapsing Soviet Union, the Petrosian family finds themselves outcasts wherever they go. Their Armenian heritage leads them to discrimination, first in their homeland of Azerbaijan and later in Russia. After finding their eternal hope through a church founded by American missionaries, the hostility of everyday life forces them to seek refuge in the United States. In the shadow of exile, hope becomes their home. Based on a moving true story of faith and hope in the midst of great hardship.
