Miami, 1991. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, young Dexter Morgan must learn to control his inner darkness as he goes from student to vengeful serial killer under the guidance of his father, Harry. Christian Slater was older than James Remar when Dexter (2006) first aired. In Episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her boyfriend meet and wear a navy blue, short-sleeved shirt as part of their uniform. In 1991, employees wore long-sleeved light blue shirts. Short sleeves weren’t worn until 4-5 years later. This was followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). Dexter is one of my favorite TV shows of all time, and one of the few shows I can watch over and over again without getting bored. It’s hard to put into words how much I loved the original show. The only thing that wasn’t great about it was the ending. Even though the ending was pretty bad, it still doesn’t take away from how good the show is overall. So with that said, I was really looking forward to Dexter: Original Sin and it didn’t disappoint. Patrick Gibson, who plays a young Dexter Morgan, absolutely kills it, as does the rest of the cast. This is a must-see for any Dexter fan.
